The International Transportation Learning Center (ITLC) offers two dynamic Train-the-Trainer programs that prepare participants to confidently deliver engaging instructor-led training and develop high-quality training materials. Designed for both new and experienced trainers, these hands-on programs provide practical tools and proven instructional techniques that enhance learning, build trainer confidence, and strengthen workforce performance.

Train-the-Trainer Level 1: Foundations of Facilitation and Instruction

This week-long course provides participants with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to effectively facilitate instructor-led training and engage learners. Designed for new and experienced trainers, this program covers:

    • Understanding the Adult Learner: Principles of adult learning theory.
    • Becoming an Effective Instructor: Core skills and strategies for impactful training.
    • Lesson Planning: Frameworks and strategies for structuring engaging and effective lessons.
    • Facilitating Learning: Classroom-based and hands-on instructional techniques and best practices.
    • Assessments and Evaluation: Measuring training effectiveness.

Train-the-Trainer Level 2: Creating Courseware That Works

Building on Level 1, this program is tailored for experienced trainers looking to deepen their expertise in course design and development. Participants will apply techniques to create engaging courseware and assessments for their own training topics. Course topics include:

    • Target Audience Analysis: Understanding learner needs and expectations.
    • Crafting Learning Objectives: Defining strong and clear outcomes and objectives for your courses.
    • Storyboarding and Lesson Planning: Designing a logical flow for your course.
    • Developing Courseware Materials: Exploring formats and best practices.
    • Graphic Design Basics: Principles for visual appeal, including a PowerPoint tutorial.
    • Assessment Design: Creating effective ways to evaluate learning.

Pricing and Delivery Options

Both Level 1 and Level 2 courses are conducted as week-long instructor-led sessions. We offer flexible delivery options to meet the needs of agencies and organizations of all sizes.

Open Enrollment Standard Delivery

ITLC hosts several open-enrollment sessions throughout the year. Participants register individually and train alongside professionals from other agencies.

    • $2,000 per participant, per course.
    • Includes all course materials. Travel, lodging, meals, and other participant expenses are not included.
    • Offered throughout the year at locations across the country.
    • Class size is limited to 10 participants to ensure a highly interactive learning experience.

Private On-Site Standard Delivery

ITLC instructors deliver the program at your location, providing a convenient, instructor-led learning experience that allows your team to build skills together.

    • Starting at $20,000 (for up to 10 participants).
    • Includes all course materials and standard instructor travel costs.
