Apprenticeship Highlighted at ATU New Presidents’ Training

On Wednesday, October 26, Center Executive Director, Jack Clark, and ATU Workforce Development Coordinator, Jamaine Gibson, addressed a class of 24 new ATU local presidents and business agents on issues of apprenticeship and workforce development. Pierce Transit Technicians Receive Virtual Mentor Training

The Center has begun a series of virtual mentor training sessions with Pierce Transit and Amalgamated Transit Union (ATU) Local 758. Stuart Bass, Principal of Progress Worx, is leading the sessions to prepare the mentors for facilitating the on-the-job-training (OJT) component of the Pierce Transit/ATU bus maintenance apprenticeship program.
