Driving a Bus: A Very Dangerous Job in a Time of Pandemic

According to the Transportation Learning Center, there were already shortages in bus operators before the pandemic; agencies couldn’t keep the positions filled. The pandemic has only intensified the problem and made it more difficult to train operators as well, said Xinge Wang, deputy director for the Center.

Traction Power Consortium Meeting Went Virtual

The health and safety of our partners and staff are the Center’s highest priority. After careful consideration, and in light of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Traction Power Training Consortium postponed its first in-person meeting in Dallas, Texas, on March 23-27. We remain excited to host the Consortium later this year as we monitor the spread of the virus and its containment over time.

Center Donates 7,000 Face Masks to Front-line Transit Workers
