Signals Training Consortium Successfully Pilots Two New Courses

It’s been a busy summer for the Signals Training Consortium. Since June, the consortium has completed three more instruction-ready courses:
* Course 105: Introduction and Overview to Cab & Wayside Signaling
* Course 106: Introduction and Overview to Interlockings
* Course 301: Troubleshooting Track Circuits

Last week, the Transit Elevator/Escalator Training Consortium reconvened at NYCT in Brooklyn, NY. This team with over 350 years of cumulative experience in transit and training spent four intensive days working together on program development.

The July 2015 Mineta Transportation Institute report, “The Benefits of Transit in the United States: A Review and Analysis of Benefit-Cost Studies” attempts to answer this question quantitatively through a review of literature on benefits-costs (b-c) estimates of existing U.S. transit systems.
