Center Delivers Train-the-Trainer Course at SacRT in Sacramento

November 18-22 was a busy week for eight SacRT employees from signals, wayside, bus maintenance, and light rail maintenance when they attended the Center’s Train-the-Trainer (TtT) course at their bus maintenance training center. Facilitated by Senior Instructional Designer, Amri Joyner, and Instructional Designer, Brandon Liu, the 5-day course covered such topics as The Adult Learner, The Effective Instructor, Teaching Tools & Demonstrations, Classroom-based Practice Teaching, and Hands-on Practice Teaching. Through this course, the participants gained knowledge of and experience with best practices for facilitating learning in both classroom and on-the-job environments, while boosting their own skills through four practice-training events. 

The Center’s TtT course provides an excellent foundation for current and future trainers to align adult learning with the current needs of the public transportation workforce.
