Center Instructional Designer Melissa Huber Recognized by UMBC Graduate Program

On Wednesday October 23, 2013 Melisa Huber was awarded the Dr. Cook award for best graduate student in the ISD program at University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC).  This annual award is presented to an outstanding student who has demonstrated academic excellence, service and entrepreneurship. 

Melissa recently received her Master’s Degree in Instructional Systems Development where her emphases include instructional technology in ISD and project management.  Melissa has been working with the Center for the past two years doing instructional design  focused specifically on creating courseware for transit elevator/escalator maintainers and more recently for signals maintainers through training consortium founded by the Center.  In this role, Melissa works with SMEs all over the country to create standardized courseware that can be administered at each location.  This courseware consists student coursebooks, PowerPoint presentations and detailed instructor’s guides.
