Equity Caucus of Transportation for America Coalition Plans for 2014 Reauthorization

Last week representatives of dozens of transportation advocacy and social justice organizations met in Washington to begin planning for reauthorization of the Surface Transportation Act.  Keynote addresses to the dozens of participating organizations from Transportation for America’s Equity Caucus were presented by Jim Oberstar, former Chair of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee and Wade Henderson, CEO of the Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights, the largest national coalition of civil rights and social justice groups.  This summer’s 2-year extension, MAP-21, will expire in September 2014.
