Posted February 2014

The Transportation Learning Center will host a 90-minute sessions on Standards-based Training and Apprenticeship for Frontline Technicians at the 2004 National Transit Institute (NTI) Transit Trainers’ Workshop in Long Beach, CA.  During this session (starting at 10:45am on March 31), local transit trainers will benefit greatly from an introduction of new national resources for systems of training and apprenticeship, with perspectives of peer trainers who have participated in the national program development and local implementation.

On the morning of April 1, EDSI Consulting and the Center will hold a joint presentation and discussion on the TCRP funded project to develop a National Training and Certification Program for Transit Vehicle Maintenance Instructors. As important stakeholders of this future national program, vehicle maintenance trainers and training managers will be presented the current progress of the project and engaged in review and validation of the program and business plan.

For more information or to register for the workshop, visit the NTI website. Contact Xinge Wang at xwang@transportcenter.org for additional information on these two sessions.
