Industry Training Consortiums

About Our Consortiums

The International Transportation Learning Center (ITLC) facilitates multiple national training consortiums that bring together transit agencies, labor unions, and industry experts to collaboratively develop standards-based training courseware for key frontline occupations across public transportation.

These consortiums are built on a labor-management partnership model and are designed to address common training needs, reduce duplication of effort, and strengthen workforce development across the industry. Participating agencies contribute subject matter expertise and benefit from shared resources, peer learning, and access to nationally vetted training materials.

Courseware developed through these efforts aligns with national training standards published by the American Public Transportation Association (APTA).
